01What is the difference between spot, wash and beam fixtures?
Spot fixtures produce sharp, focused output for gobos and tight beams; wash fixtures flood broad colour across the stage; beam fixtures cut narrow, intense shafts ideal for aerial effects. A balanced rig uses all three so the design has texture, colour fill and high-impact aerial movement.
02Can the lighting be synced to music and video?
Yes. Moving-head sequences can be programmed to timecode so they trigger in perfect sync with music, video and the show cues, or operated live by a programmer who busks the looks to the energy in the room. Both approaches keep the lighting moving precisely with the moment.
03Will moving lights overpower a speaker segment?
No, because the rig is programmed in cues. Dynamic effects are reserved for reveals, performances and high-energy moments, while speaker segments use calmer, broadcast-friendly looks. The programmer switches between states on the show caller's cue so the lighting always matches the content on stage.
